I LOVE the Merry Cafe Stamp Set from Stampin’ Up! And I especially love the way it coordinates with the Coffee Cups Framelits Dies and the Coffee Cafe stamp set. There are so many ways you can use these three products!
I mounted a piece of Cherry Cobbler card stock on a card base of Thick Whisper White. On a smaller Whisper White Panel, I used the Winder Wonder Textured Impressions Embossing Folder with my Big Shot to add that cute snowflake pattern. Again with my trusty Big Shot, I cut out the holly leaves and coffee cup from the Be Merry Designer Series Paper. I used Real Red Glimmer Paper to cut out a few small berries. So cute!
I stamped the sentiment “Christmas Cheer” with Real Red and Garden Green, and then cut out using the framelits dies. Finally, I stamped some yummy whipped cream with Crumb Cake ink and a cute straw with Graden Green ink and cut them out with the Big Shot.
I jazzed up the whipping cream with some Wink of Stella, and assembled the entire card! Love it! Check out the Retiring List on the Stampin’ Up! website — both the Merry Cafe and the Winter Wonder embossing folder are retiring soon! Get them now — they’ll be classics you can use year after year!
I’ve made a simple yet elegant card using the Christmas Pines stamp set with the coordinating Pretty Pines Thinlits Dies.
I started with a base of Whisper White thick cardstock and then a layer of Old Olive Cardstock on top of that. The Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Papers are so versatile. I love the black and white plaid look with the Old Olive — very trendy! I created a shiny gold foil pinecone to go with the delicate olive green pine boughs.
The sentiment was stamped on an oval cut out from the Stitched Shape framelits and backed with a black scalloped layer from the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies. I accented the card with an Old Olive Mini Chevron ribbon.
I love the simplicity of this card. I hope you do, too!
It’s been awhile since I’ve posted. I don’t remember a busier November/December! School, craft fairs, and spruce container production has really taken a chunk out of me. But I’ve finally gotten a chance to do some creating. And wow, have I had some fun!
This first card is heat embossed with gold embossing powder and the fun deer from the Merry Patterns stamp set. I have loved this set from the moment it became available as a special promotion by Stampin’ Up! Since it never appeared in any catalog, I expect this set to become a collector’s item. I’ve seen so many special projects using it!
Here’s another version of the card, using a different paper. Same idea and layout, but an entirely different look, don’t you think? The leaf is from the November Paper Pumpkin kit, and is perfect to match the Old Olive in the DSP
The gold embossing really adds a rich touch, don’t you think? The sentiment is from the “Half Full” stamp set, which I really love as well! Let me know which one you like the best!
And yes, these cards do make me VERY happy! Take a look at this brand new kit, called “Color Me Happy,” available November 1, that will showcase your artistic coloring talents using the brand new STAMPIN’ BLENDS!
I did the coloring with the brand new Stampin ‘Blends! I have never owned alcohol-based markers, not even when Stampin’ Up! featured them a number of years ago. So I was very excited about trying them myself. The new Stampin’ Blends, in a brand new, improved formula, come in 12 gorgeous Stampin’ Up colors, in both a light and a dark shade. Click on the video below to see the Stampin’ Blends in action!
The “Color Me Happy” Kit and Stamp Set are available in a bundle while supplies last, starting November 1. I had SO much fun putting these cards together! You get supplies to make 16 beautiful cards. The markers make it so easy to blend and shade, even for an inexperienced ‘blender’ like me. They’re so smooth and rich!
Click on the photo below for the brochure you can download:
The colors used in this kit are Powder Pink, Pool Party, Night of Navy, and Pumpkin Pie. Those are the ones I ordered first, but notice you can get the entire set in one package as well!
Be ready to order this bundle and the Stampin’ Blends on November 1. Happy Coloring!
I knew I wanted the Merry Patterns stamp set the moment I saw it. I love every single stamp, and the versatility the entire stamp provides. You can go with the deer thing, you can go with the candle thing, you can use the beautiful big sentiment….or any combination thereof!
This card is built on a Basic Black card base with a layer from the Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Papers. LOVE the Old Olive and Black combination! The reindeer is heat embossed in gold, and the sentiment is heat embossed in white on Basic Black card stock. I added some gold mini sequin trim and Metallic Enamel Shapes to add a little bling.
Merry Patterns Stamp Set is still available FREE until the end of the month with a $300 order. It is exclusive and it won’t be found in any catalog. Get together with some friends and have a card-making session. When your party sales reach $300, the set is yours! Or make a single order over $300, and you automatically get the set! I will help in any way I can. Click on the “Let’s Go Shopping” button above to get started!
The Stampin’ Up! Notecards are a true bargain, and the perfect size to send little notes and holiday greetings. Pair that with our gorgeous Designer Series Papers, and you have an easy, quick, and beautiful way to keep in touch with your loved ones!
Today I’ve featured four notecards that use the Delightful Daisy Designer Series Papers, and two punches that make it easy for you — the new Leaf Punch and the Everyday Label Punch, both from the 2017 Holiday Catalog.
I punched the leaves from coordinating green card stocks — Old Olive and Tranquil Tide. The sentiment is from the Ribbon of Courage stamp set. I love the beautiful font! The Metallic Enamel Shapes and the Glitter Enamel Shapes are the perfect embellishments to finish off your cards!

So glad you stopped by!
Here is my Halloween card — a toast to some very mysterious Halloween punch! The background panels of the card were created with Basic Black card stock and pieces of the Spooky Night Designer Series paper. I love every design of this Halloween variety pack!
I combined two stamp sets to create this fun Halloween card. Festive Phrases is a new stamp set from the SU! Holiday Catalog. With its variety of sentiments, it’ll be fun all year long!
I stamped the ‘Potion’ stamp on a Very Vanilla piece of card stock and then cut it out using the Stitched Shape Framelits. I added the wine glasses by stamping them in Basic Black and cutting them out myself. I watercolored the Mystery Liquid with Lemon Lime Twist ink, and then sparkled it up a bit with Dazzling Diamonds Glitter. The bubbles were made with the new Black Rhinestone Jewels — fun, fun!
Thanks for taking part in our blog hop, there are so many amazing ideas and inspiration you don’t want to miss. Remember that currently you are at my blog – UP NORTH STAMPIN’, so check the blog hop line up list to see who is next in the list.

Having fun this week with a Tic Tac Toe Challenge from my fellow Stampin’ Pals. We could pick three items in a line, either horizontally, diagonally, or vertically, just like Tic Tac Toe!
I chose to go right down the center with Glow, Paper Piece, and Doily! I used one of my favorite sets from the 2017 Holiday Catalog — “Half Full,” a very fun holiday set that could actually be used all year long. It’s a great set of wine images, with a Christmas angle. I love the sentiments “I’m dreaming of a White Christmas…but if the white runs out, I’ll take red.” Haha love this!
I also used the holiday Designer Series Paper called Merry Little Christmas to accent the Cherry Cobbler card base. Love the black and white with the Cobbler!
You might be wondering where the GLOW part is on the card — the top square of our challenge. Well, it’s difficult to photograph, but the white ‘wine’ in the glasses is accented with Wink of Stella, as are the fun holly images. They glow and sparkle — really fun!
Welcome to the Pals September 2017 Blog Hop. Thank you so much for joining us today. This month our theme is “My Favorite Holiday.” Sit back and enjoy the view while the Pals treat you with projects for the upcoming Autumn and Winter holidays.
Whether you’re just starting the hop, or have come from a previous Pal’s blog, you’ll find the line-up toward the end of my post to help you move along. It really didn’t take very long for me to decide what holiday I would feature in this blog. The Christmas holidays have always been special to me: family get-togethers, a few days off from teaching to be home with the people most dear to me.
This card features a beautiful Christmas tree from a new stamp set called “Season Like Christmas.” The tree is actually a three-step stamp. The larger base stamp was stamped in Old Olive ink. Over that, I put a darker accent layer of Tranquil Tide. The last layer was created to look like red Christmas ornaments or lights. Here’s what I did: I stamped first with Versamark, and then stamped a second layer in Real Red. I sprinkled a mixture of clear embossing powder and Dazzling Diamonds glitter over, and tapped off the excess, then heat embossed it. The result was shiny and sparkly red tree decorations!
I cut the tree out with an oval framelit from the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies, and then cut a coordinating scalloped oval in the same size to offset the white oval.
The paper layers included a base of Whisper White cardstock and then a 4″ by 5 1/4″ layer of Old Olive. Finally I added a layer from the Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Papers. I love them all – look at the beautiful and timeless Old Olive, black, and white patterns.
The banners across the bottom of card were created with one of my favorite staples — the Triple Banner Punch. The black and white plaid creates The sentiment is from the “Season Like Christmas” stamp set as well. I love all the sentiments from this set!
